1. AVEYO
CITY America Fork FOUNDED 2023 EMPLOYEES 270 INDUSTRY Solar WEBSITE aveyo.com CEO Jeremy Hammond THE COMPANY Vertically integrated solar services, from sales to engineering to installation and activation.

CUE THE LIGHTS Aveyo was founded by a group of industry leaders who saw the solar world’s negative reputation and decided to fix it. We realized, in order to raise the standard on a good industry, we’d have to create a company that cared more deeply about their customers, one that other solar companies would have to look to and keep up with in. We began with full transparency model that meant customer-first prioritization and better communication. We’ve focused on making our pay-to-install process more efficient. We’ve charted 3,500 activations and generated a total of $120 million in revenue. THE AI ANGLE We primarily utilized AI to enhance our customer experience by improving communication, making interactions faster, etc. Our customer proposals are also built with AI tools, ensuring accuracy, consistency and speed. PRODUCER’S NOTES We believe you can and should work with friends. Our CEO Jeremy Hammond has worked alongside his friends for over two decades. That history has built a culture where people push hard for one another, are able to have difficult and open conversations, and celebrate with more joy.
2. WAV EXTERIORS
CITY Lehi FOUNDED 2023 EMPLOYEES 130 INDUSTRY Construction WEBSITE wavexteriors.com FOUNDERS Tanner Berry, Ryan Scott THE COMPANY Exterior construction specializing in brick, stucco, tile, siding and more.

BEHIND THE SCENES When you’re starting a business, your reputation is what’s most important, and we didn’t know how to set ourselves apart. It’s B2B, so we’re servicing builders and general contractors. It’s hard to say to them, “Trust us with this million-dollar project,” if they’ve never heard of us. We had to formulate, “How do we pitch ourselves as a credible company and incentivize builders to trust us with these projects?” So we offered discounts and low-balled the competition for the first projects to hopefully blow their expectations away, and we haven’t really lost any partners since. BEYOND THE RESUME We look for integrity and hard work. We stay away from micromanaging and expect them to do their own thing and get their work done. CUE THE LIGHTS We started with a little brick-washing company called Happy Home, and would wash the exterior after a project. We tested out our partnership; it’s important to know each other’s strengths, and if you trust the person and their work ethic. After working together, we realized we needed to take it to the next level. Tanner had experience in exteriors, so we decided to dive into that.
3. SPYLT
CITY American Fork FOUNDED 2024 EMPLOYEES 15 INDUSTRY Beverage WEBSITE SPYLT.com LEADERSHIP Nick Greer, Josh Mendenhall, Steve Quercia THE COMPANY A better-for-you chocolate milk (and additional flavors), with 20g of protein, 0 sugar, 90 cals and a kick of caffeine.

CUE THE LIGHTS One day I (Josh) realized I always grabbed chocolate milk and something caffeinated — so why not combine them? That idea led to a winning formula at the 2022 New York Milk Launch. Soon after, I partnered with Nick Greer of BUILT Bar, and together we spent a year perfecting the product. BOLD BRANDING We’re all about finding the kid inside of you. Life’s too short to stress over mistakes or shortcomings. Instead of crying about it, laugh at it — and drink it up. MIC DROP Winning New York Milk Launch in 2022; official product launch with Harmons in 2024 as the first retailer; landing both national Kroger and Albertson’s chains in Q2 of 2025. PRODUCER’S NOTES If you believe in your idea, chase it with everything you’ve got but don’t do it alone. AFTER HOURS Through our Co-founder/CEO Nick Greer’s organization, Five.12, tens of thousands of kids have been fed through school meal programs. For us, impact looks like dropping off product donations to local teachers, college students and firefighters.
4. REFERPRO
CITY Lehi FOUNDED 2023 EMPLOYEES 21 INDUSTRY SaaS WEBSITE referpro.com LEADERSHIP Murphy Nadauld, Andrew Mikkelsen, Howell Asay THE COMPANY ReferPro makes referrals for home service businesses easy to generate, track and reward.

CUE THE LIGHTS While building a home, 15+ contractors told me (Murphy) the same thing: Referrals drove most of their business, but they had no system to manage them. The problem is clear: 83 percent of customers are willing to refer, but only 29 percent actually do. ENCORE We want to build a company that supports thousands of jobs and families throughout Utah, as well as the families of the home-service businesses we support. Main Street business who grow because of ReferPro will continue to have a massive impact on Utah and the local economies they service. MIC DROP We are proud of tens of millions in revenue for our customers through referrals each year, raising a seed round in 2024, and having customers requesting to invest. AFTER HOURS We’re always looking for opportunities to serve and give back. Murphy tries to block out a little time every month to connect with founders who are just getting started. BEYOND THE RESUME We have a culture of A players. Talented people like to work with talented people, and we really don’t tolerate poor performers. We’re always lifting each other and trying to reach our full potential.
5. CREW
CITY Orem FOUNDED 2024 EMPLOYEES 12 INDUSTRY SaaS WEBSITE crewhomeapp.com LEADERSHIP Cameron Lam, Travis Zappia, Jordan Garn THE COMPANY Trash valet tech for short term rental owners.

CUE THE LIGHTS Back in 2018 I bought my first house and did the house hack. Eventually I got 15 houses with one partner per property. I had automated almost everything in Airbnb, but I couldn’t automate the trash cans. I even tried to do all my cans at one point — 65 hours in one week. I knew this was not sustainable. So my idea was basically to build DoorDash software for trash. MIC DROP The real growth came when Convoi accepted us into their program. Jared Rodman said, “Why don’t you just start calling owners and telling your story?” That’s what I did, and we grew business to around $150k ARR in eight weeks. We raised a $3 million seed round with interest from strong investors. And we hit $1 million in July. It’s been less than a year, and this thing is taking off. ENCORE The allure is how unsexy and simple the business is. I think we can get to 100,000 homes in the next four years and $50 million ARR, and that’s just with Airbnb. PRODUCER’S NOTES I’ve learned a lot from asking the right questions to other founders: What was your ROI on a video ad? What should the deal structure be? What should the salary be for this person? I want to avoid a lot of mistakes that other founders have made.
6. PLUNJ®
CITY Provo FOUNDED 2021 EMPLOYEES 5 INDUSTRY Wellness WEBSITE plunj.co FOUNDERS Sean Foster, Lauren Foster THE COMPANY Nordic-style bathhouse focused on contrast therapy.

CUE THE LIGHTS My husband Sean and I (Lauren) fell in love with cold plunges after trail runs; they eased his anxiety and my insomnia. Inspired by Finnish contrast therapy, we paired plunges with a sauna and created PLUNJ® to help people reset, recharge and reconnect. BEHIND THE SCENES One of our favorite PLUNJ stories is about a group of young cross-fitters and an 80-year-old woman. They started out as complete strangers and left as friends. They even booked their next appointment together so they could continue their conversations! BEYOND THE RESUME Our hosts are trained to notice the details that make guests feel seen, whether that’s writing a birthday note on the welcome board or remembering a favorite essential oil. AFTER HOURS Each PLUNJ location is locally owned, and our franchise owners are encouraged to dive into their own communities. That often looks like sponsoring school teams, local events and wellness activities. MIC DROP We have 15 cold plunges and nine locations fully operational with more in the process of being built! We’ve welcomed about 30,000 guests to experience contrast therapy.
7. ALYSIO
CITY Lehi FOUNDED 2022 EMPLOYEES 12 INDUSTRY AI Technology WEBSITE alysio.ai LEADERSHIP Aaron McReynolds, Ryan Harris, Tom Butterfield THE COMPANY An AI revenue command layer for GTM organizations.

CUE THE LIGHTS After a decade in tech sales, we saw teams have plenty of data, but struggle to access it in a simple way. Dashboards are static and require constant upkeep. We set out to create a faster, smarter solution that delivers insights and actions to drive revenue growth. BOLD BRANDING The branding is designed around the “A” for Alysio, the mountains of Utah, and the upward trajectory of revenue growth. MIC DROP Having a billboard in Times Square in partnership with Brex was a proud moment. This was a dream of one of our founders who has a strong affinity to New York and the advertising world itself. AFTER HOURS We partnered with the USANA Kids Eat to help with their annual food drive for children in need of meals while on school break who historically rely on the school system to provide nutrition. PRIME TIME Alysio has a strong partnership with BYU and UVU, providing internship opportunities for some of the brightest minds. PRODUCER’S NOTES There is no milestone that says “We are no longer in startup mode.” Remain scrappy, cash conscious and focused on the next big milestone. Don’t give up until you get there.
8. NEURONOVA
CITY Provo FOUNDED 2024 EMPLOYEES 5 INDUSTRY Health and wellness LEADERSHIP Thomas Wilkinson, Benny Burnett THE COMPANY A non-invasive, neurostimulation wellness device designed to support dopamine balance, focus and stress relief.

CUE THE LIGHTS We set out to find an alternative to methadone so individuals can come off of addictions naturally. This led us to the benefits used for stress and overwhelm, and we created the NEURONOVA dopamine seat. It has many iterations — so much so that there will be a museum of all the prototypes that didn’t work. MIC DROP We’re proud to have reached almost 100 clinics in 90 days, getting the NEURONOVA seat into more spaces. AFTER HOURS We donated a chair to The Other Side Academy, a nonprofit helping people rebuild life after addiction as an alternative to prison. ENCORE We plan for NEURONOVA to be in all of the surrounding states of Utah in the next 12 months. Our hope is that we help give people their agency back by naturally helping their brain be in a state where it can change and evolve better behaviors. We receive many testimonials from clients and clinicians. One provider shared that a patient was experiencing suicidal ideation before his session on the chair. Once the session was complete, the patient reported that he didn’t have those thoughts anymore.
9. MASSET
CITY Alpine FOUNDED 2022 EMPLOYEES 2 INDUSTRY Content enablement WEBSITE getmasset.com FOUNDERS Benjamin Ard, Tyler Russell THE COMPANY Fills the gap between messy shared drives and clunky enterprise tools with one simple place to find and use all your business content.

CUE THE LIGHTS Every business runs on content, but it’s often hidden or hard to find. Masset makes it easy to deliver the right content to the right person at the right time. Content needs a better seat at the table and Masset’s success is about helping businesses prove how valuable their content is and how big of a role it plays for every step of the customer journey. BOLD BRANDING Masset is a combination of “marketing + asset.” MIC DROP We work with some of Utah’s largest companies, like Awardco, JobNimbus, Vasion, Dental Intelligence and so many other great brands. Working with these customers and helping them capitalize on their content is incredibly rewarding. BEYOND THE RESUME We believe in staying lean. We love using AI to help us be more efficient and will expand the team as we see fit, but feel like with outside resources (again, like AI) we can do quite a bit without needing extra hires. AI ANGLE Besides using our own AI in the product, we use AI for coding, content creation and as a great ideation platform to make sure we’re not missing anything along the road.
10. THE HANGAR
CITY Provo FOUNDED 2024 EMPLOYEES 2 INDUSTRY Concierge Auto Services WEBSITE provoairportparking.com LEADERSHIP Marcie Whatcott, Trent Whatcott, Brendan Whatcott THE COMPANY Convenient airport parking and full auto services for travelers flying with PVU.

CUE THE LIGHTS One rainy morning at the new Provo Airport, I (Trent) saw a mother struggling through the muddy lot with three young children and a heavy suitcase, so I jumped out to help. Walking back to my car, drenched, I thought, “There has to be a better way to do this.” That moment sparked The Hangar. BEYOND THE RESUME We seek out the wholehearted and selfless, who have a tireless desire to do whatever it takes to serve other people, regardless of the stakes, the cost, the time of day, or the time it takes, and to do so with a happy servant’s heart. ENCORE Once we find investors who believe in what we are doing, we will be looking to buy land along the upcoming southbound route to the airport. We have plans for a small building (shaped like a hangar) with ample parking, a comfortable place for customers to wait, onsite detailing bays and vehicle service bays. MIC DROP In July, we held a giveaway called “Freedom to Fly.” We offered car detailing, parking, subscriptions to Hometown Flights, and a gift card for travel on an airline serving PVU. We were humbled by the outpouring of comments about how much people loved The Hangar.
THE FINE PRINT The Startups to Watch list is selected from a pool of applicants with less than four years of operating history. The winners and rankings were determined by BusinessQ’s editorial board based on revenue, leadership teams, industry and overall potential.
